Dolphin Scholarship Fund
The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation was established in 1961 with a $350 award to one
scholar. These funds were raised primarily through the tireless efforts of Submarine
Officers'
Wives' Organizations throughout the United States. As the cost of education continued to
skyrocket so did the need for the Foundation to assist deserving students. Today Dolphin
Scholarship Foundation sponsors 133 renewable scholarships providing $3,000 per year to
each student. Each recipient may receive a total of $12,000 for up to four years of
undergraduate study.
