Per Diem Rates - Continenal U.S. & Overseas

Link to the Department of the Defense Per Diem, Travel, and Transportation Allowance
Committee web site where: you can find current Per Diem Rates for the Continguous United
States and all Overseas Locations.  Search by military installation, specific state, or country
overseas.

Dislocation Allowance (DLA)

The purpose of DLA is to partially reimburse a member, with or without dependents, for the
expenses incurred in relocating the member's household on a PCS, housing moves ordered
for the Government's convenience, or incident to an evacuation. This allowance is in addition
to all other allowances authorized in this Volume and may be paid in advance.

Government Meal Rates
How often is the Government meal rate changed? Every year the rate is reviewed and
revised, if necessary. Except for midshipman and cadets, whose rates (not shown here) are
effective 1 October 2003, the new rates are effective 1 January 2004.

Mileage Rates
This table shows the basic TDY rates for the three types of POC for which the Government
provides a mileage allowance. Again, remember the caveat for the DoD civilian employees
and the limitation on reimbursement if POC use is not in the Government's interest. The
rates are effective 01 January 2004.
