Retirement Ceremonies

Career Development Boards

CDBs are an important administrative review and counseling of all enlisted personnel to ensure they are provided opportunities to to attain positions of greater responsibility.   CDBs can further be used to provide guidance, direction and assistance, and perform as a quality control screening for professional growth, development, and mentorship.

Use Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) to: Find civilian credentials related to
your rating, job, or occupation, Understand what it takes to obtain the credentials, and
See if there are available programs that will help pay credentialing fees. 

NAVADMIN and ALNAV Messages

All Chiefs, Leading Petty Officers, and other supervisors, should make it a point to check the
newewst NAVADMIN and ALNAV messages at least once a week. It's a great administrative
tool to keep up with policy changes, new programs, and other important adminstrative functions.

When you wish to request assignment to a special program, submit NAVPERS 1306/7,
Enlisted Personnel Action Request to Navy Personnel Command, (NAVPERSCOM) (applicable
detailer), via the appropriate chain of command approximately 9-12 months prior to your
projected rotation date (PRD).

Personnel Records Support Branch

The Records Support Branch (PERS 312) provides Navy service record and mainframe
automated record support services.  Services are provided to active duty, discharged, retired
Navy service members and their families, personnel offices, other Department of Defense,
state, federal and local agencies, and members of the general public.


Perform to Serve Program

PTS Acts as a force shaping tool by leveling rating manning from overmanned to
undermanned, and acts as quality screening by controlling reenlistments for all First Term
Sailors. The main PTS Home Page can only be accessed with a CAC card on a government
.mil computer.

CMS Interactive Detailing

Command Management System (CMS) provides support and information relating to CMS
Interactive Detailing, such as providing Schedules, Access Requests, and FAQ's. Web CMS 
Interactive Detailing is designed and used by Sailors, Command Career Counselors,
Command, FTS, and Reserve Personnel.  The Web-based system allows Sailors to view
available jobs and make applications through their Command Career Counselor.   Personnel
can view CMS Interactive Detailing through a secure website located at:

The mission of the Navy Casualty Assistance Division in Millington is to provide timely,
compassionate and caring assistance for Navy families in times of need. Navy Casualty
