BUPERS Online is a single point of entry application for logging into numerous web-based applications maintained by the Naval Personel Command in Millington, TN. As applications are added, you will login once, and then be able to pass from application to application without the need for multiple logins.

CONSEP Program

Occupational Outlook Handbook
The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information,
designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future
work lives.  Revised every two years, the Handbook describes what workers do on the job,
working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job
prospects in a wide range of occupations.

MindEdge.com

Mind Edge is a portal to search for courses academic, professional, continuing education,
personal development through distance learning or on-campus.  Includes corporate training
courses as well.

Troops to Cops Program
The Troops to COPS program was designed to encourage the hiring of recently separated
military veterans to serve as law enforcement officers. The ultimate goal of the program was
to ease the transition of eligible members of the armed forces into community policing
across the nation.

Troops to Teachers Program
This program supports the highly successful work of the Department of Defense's Troops-
to-Teachers program. The program was established by the Department of Defense in 1994
to help improve public school education by providing funds to recruit, prepare, and support
former members of the military services as teachers in high-poverty schools.

Active & Reserve Officer Career Progression Division

FUNCTION:   Manage, administer and monitor the promotion and appointment of active duty
and reserve officers per applicable laws, regulations and policies; act as CHNAVPERS liaison
with selection boards and officers as related to promotion and selection matters.

Active & Reserve Career Enlisted Career Progression Division
Function: Administers and implements enlisted career progression statutes, regulations, and
policies relating to extensions, reenlistments, enlisted general recall, special duty
assignment pay, selective reenlistment bonus, phased enlistment bonus, targeted selective
reenlistment bonus, selective training and reenlistments, selective conversion and
reenlistment, active and reserve Navy-wide enlisted advancement examinations and enlisted
advancement selection boards.

Retirements, Fleet Reserve & Disability Retirements Division
Provides advice and assistance to military and civilian personnel at all levels in CHNAVPERS,
the Department of Navy (DON), and Department of Defense (DOD) regarding retirement laws
and procedures, retirement policy, dual compensation laws, Judge Advocate General (JAG)
opinions, and Comptroller of the Navy (NAVCOMPT) decisions relating to retired pay
authorization and all other retirement rights, benefits, and privileges.

An excellent tool to use for a command's retention program and for quick information on
specific Navy programs.  The Quick Series is an innovative line of pocket size reference
guides available. Each Quick Series guide is a compilation of concisely formatted information
on specific subject matters. The unique presentation format allows you to find pertinent
information quickly and easily. Example guides include: Montgomery GI Bill, Pre-Separation
Guide, Thrift Savings Plan and a Women's Veterans Guide.
