CMS Interactive Detailing: The New Detailing Process
The Career Management System (CMS) support site at Navy Personnel Center provides support and information relating to CMS Interactive Detailing, such as providing Schedules, Access Requests, and FAQ's. Web CMS Interactive Detailing is designed and used by Sailors, Command Career Counselors, Command, FTS, and Reserve Personnel.  The Web-based system allows Sailors to view available jobs and make applications through their Command Career Counselor.

PERSONNEL CAN VIEW CMS Interactive Detailing THROUGH A SECURE WEBSITE LOCATED AT HTTPS://WWW.CMSID.NAVY.MIL.   For disabled accounts or other inquiries, contact the CMS/ID Helpdesk by email or phone 1-800-537-4617. 

** IMPORTANT **
Common Access Card (CAC) is required for CMS/ID log on.  In order to better secure the DoD NIPRNET servers, CAC/PKI certification is mandated for all DoN components (as per JTK-GNO CTO 06-02/ 171100ZJAN2006).  While this security requirement prevents users from accessing CMS/ID from their home or public computers (unless they are using an installed CAC reader), it protects the valuable personal information held in CMS/ID and allows only authorized users to access the system.  So that no Sailor is disadvantaged, Detailers will work with users via email, as appropriate, to forward required information.

View Only CMS Interactive Detailing Users  
Enter your SSN and your DOB in the format of YYMMDD and hit enter.  You will be prompted to change your password and set up your security question. 

Career Counselor, Command, MCA Users
If you are a new user and need Career Counselor access or higher, please use the Access Letter signed by your CO, XO, or OIC from the secure CMSID web site.

Civilian Users
Civilian users of CMS/ID must use the Access Letter signed by your CO, XO, or OIC from the secure CMSID web site.  Once you have been entered into the system as a user, you will be able to sign on with your SSN and DOB in the format of YYMMDD.  With your initial login, you will in prompted to change your password to the new format and set up your security question.

Reserve Users
If you are a new user and need Command Representative access or higher, please use the attached Access Letter signed by your CO, XO or OIC.
